“Paint a painting quickly. Life is short.”

The astonishingly prolific artistic genius Matti Rag Paananen (1939—2022) began painting in 1976. Around 660 of his original works have been preserved in his home, Ragala, located in Hirvensalo, Turku.

Driven relentlessly by the pursuit of Great Art, Paananen created across disciplines with fearless curiosity. He was a composer, arranger, pianist, poet, and painter. This exhibition marks Paananen’s museum debut.

More information about the exhibition will be updated soon.
